Robert Holmes Thomson, commonly known as R. H. Thomson, is a Canadian actor with a career spanning five decades. Born on September 24, 1947, in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Thomson studied at the University of Toronto and the National Theatre School. He has appeared in numerous television shows and films, making him a regular presence on Canadian screens. Thomson is also an accomplished stage actor and has received awards for his contributions to the arts. In addition to his acting career, he has written and staged his own play, The Lost Boys. Thomson has portrayed various historical figures and has hosted programming for CBC Radio and CBC Television. He was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada in 2010 and received a Governor General's Performing Arts Award in 2015.
