Rachael Yamagata

Rachael Yamagata is an American singer-songwriter and pianist from Arlington, Virginia. She started her musical journey as part of the band Bumpus before venturing into a successful solo career. With five EPs and four studio albums under her belt, Yamagata has made a name for herself in the music industry. Her captivating songs have been featured in various television shows, showcasing her versatility and talent. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with renowned artists such as Jason Mraz, Rhett Miller, Bright Eyes, Ryan Adams, Toots and the Maytals, and Ray Lamontagne. Born to a Japanese American father and an Italian-German mother, Yamagata graduated from the Holton-Arms School and attended Northwestern University and Vassar College.
