Jones received critical acclaim and several awards for her portrayal of Heidi Hansen, the mother of the title character in Dear Evan Hansen, including an Emmy Award, a Grammy Award, and the 2017 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Born in New York City and raised in Boca Raton, Florida, Jones began her acting career at a young age and moved to New York City to pursue her passion. She has also performed in various other Broadway shows and national tours.
