    Rachel Bay Jones (born November 8, 1969) is an American actress and singer. She is best known for her roles in the Broadway productions of Pippin and Dear Evan Hansen. Jones received critical acclaim and several awards for her portrayal of Heidi Hansen, the mother of the title character in Dear Evan Hansen, including an Emmy Award, a Grammy Award, and the 2017 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Born in New York City and raised in Boca Raton, Florida, Jones began her acting career at a young age and moved to New York City to pursue her passion. She has also performed in various other Broadway shows and national tours.
