Rachel Renee Smith, born on April 18, 1985, is an American actress, TV host, model, and beauty pageant titleholder. She gained fame by winning the Miss USA 2007 pageant and previously competing in the Miss Teen USA 2002 pageant. Smith represented the United States as the contestant at Miss Universe 2007, where she secured the 4th runner-up position. Born on a U.S. Army base in Panama, she later resided in Clarksville, TN after her parents were stationed at Fort Campbell. Smith attended Clarksville Academy and graduated from Davidson Academy. She graduated magna cum laude from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in journalism. During her time at Belmont, she interned with Harpo Productions, owned by Oprah Winfrey.
