Rachel Specter is an American writer, producer, and actress. She is best known for her work as a producer and writer on the TV series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend from 2015 to 2019. Before transitioning to behind the scenes work, Specter began her career as an actress, appearing in various TV shows including How I Met Your Mother, Gilmore Girls, What I Like About You, and Entourage. She also played the role of Courtney in the film The House Bunny. Specter has written for popular TV series such as One Tree Hill and Cougar Town, and has produced shows like Hyperlinked and Indebted. She has also directed an episode of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Specter was born in Tampa, Florida, and graduated from the University of Florida with honors.
