Radha Blank (born September 24, 1976) is an American actress, filmmaker, playwright, rapper, and comedian. She gained recognition for her work in the film industry as the writer, director, producer, and star of The Forty-Year-Old Version (2020), which earned her the U.S. Dramatic Competition Directing Award at the Sundance Film Festival. Blank, following in the footsteps of Ava Duvernay, became the second Black Woman Director in Sundance's 40-year history to win this prestigious award. Prior to her success in film, Blank established herself as a playwright, receiving accolades such as the Helen Merrill Playwriting Award, an NEA New Play Development Award, and a NYFA Fellowship. Her notable works include HappyFlowerNail, Casket Sharp, nannyland, and Seed, the latter of which received critical acclaim and was produced Off Broadway.
