Rae Baker, born Rachel Jane Baker on November 19, 1973, is an English actress known for her portrayal of Detective Constable Juliet Becker in the long-running ITV drama series, The Bill. Born in Winchester, Hampshire, Baker started her acting career at a young age by joining a local Gilbert and Sullivan repertory company. She received a personal bursary from Cameron Mackintosh to attend the Central School of Speech and Drama. Following her graduation, Baker appeared in various stage productions, including Guys & Dolls and A Winter's Tale at the Royal National Theatre. On television, she made her debut in the first episode of Jonathan Creek. In 1998, Baker starred alongside Michael Caine in the film Shadow Run and later secured leading roles in West End productions such as The Postman Always Rings Twice and Dirty Dancing.
