Rakhee Thakrar

Rakhee Thakrar (born 29 February 1984) is an English actress known for her roles in popular TV shows. She portrayed Shabnam Masood in the BBC One soap opera EastEnders from 2014 to 2016, and Emily Sands in the Netflix comedy-drama Sex Education from 2019 to 2023. Thakrar is also recognized for her voice work as Bliss, the Eighth Doctor's companion, in Big Finish's Doctor Who: The Time War audio dramas. Born in Leicester, England, she is of Indian descent and attended Soar Valley College.
