Ralph Dumke Biography
Ralph Dumke (July 25, 1899 – January 4, 1964) was an American comedian and actor. He gained popularity in the early 1920s as part of the comedy duo 'The Mirthquakers' with Ed East, performing in vaudeville on the B. F. Keith Circuit until 1932. Dumke then transitioned to radio and became well-known for his role in the nationally popular program 'Sisters of the Skillet' on NBC Radio. In the 1940s, he ventured into Broadway musicals as a character actor. From 1949 until his death in 1964, Dumke appeared in numerous American films and television shows. He was born in South Bend, Indiana, and graduated from the University of Notre Dame, where he also played varsity football.
