Raphael Saadiq, born Charles Ray Wiggins on May 14, 1966, is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. He gained recognition as a member of the successful group Tony! Toni! Toné! In addition to his solo and group career, Saadiq has produced songs for renowned artists such as Erykah Badu, Beyoncé, Stevie Wonder, and Mary J. Blige. He was a member of The Ummah music production collective and the supergroup Lucy Pearl. With five solo albums to his name, including the critically acclaimed 'The Way I See It' and 'Stone Rollin,' Saadiq continues to impress with his versatile and retro-inspired music. His more recent release, 'Jimmy Lee,' has garnered further praise.
