Rati Gupta is an American dancer and actress, born on February 9, 1984. She gained recognition for her recurring role as Anu, the fiancée of Rajesh Ramayan Koothrappali in the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory. Gupta was born in Michigan City, Indiana to Indian immigrant parents. While she does not speak Hindi, her parents were born in North India. Gupta studied Psychology and Pre-medicine at Northwestern University. Initially interested in dancing, she later pursued acting and received her training in Los Angeles. Gupta appeared in season 2 of the Hulu series Future Man and is set to guest star in the Netflix series Unbelievable.
