Ray Kellogg
Ray Kellogg (1905-1976) was an American special effects artist and film director. He began his career in Hollywood working in special effects for 20th Century Fox, eventually becoming the head of the unit. Kellogg made his directorial debut in 1959 with the films 'The Killer Shrews' and 'The Giant Gila Monster', both of which later gained attention through their parodies on 'Mystery Science Theater 3000'. He co-directed the controversial war film 'The Green Berets' in 1968 with John Wayne, set during the Vietnam conflict. Kellogg also had a minor appearance in a 1969 episode of 'Petticoat Junction'. He passed away in 1976 in Ontario, California due to cancer.
