Read Morgan Biography
Read Lawrence Morgan (January 30, 1931 – April 20, 2022) was an American film and television actor. He is best known for his role as Sergeant Hapgood Tasker in the American western television series The Deputy. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Morgan attended the University of Kentucky where he played basketball and football. He later studied drama at Northwestern University after which he served in the United States Air Force for two years. Morgan began his acting career in the crime drama television series The Big Story in 1949 and went on to appear in various television programs including Gunsmoke, Wagon Train, and The Twilight Zone.
