Rebecca Balding (September 21, 1948 – July 18, 2022) was an American actress known for her appearances on the television shows Soap and Charmed. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Balding attended the University of Kansas. She portrayed the role of Carol David, mother of Jodie Dallas' child, on the show Soap, appearing in 19 episodes from 1978 to 1980. Balding also played Corky Crandall in the sitcom Makin' It and the original female reporter Carla Mardigian on the drama series Lou Grant. In addition, she appeared in TV movies such as The Gathering (1977) and Deadly Game (1977). Balding's career spanned several decades, showcasing her versatility as an actress.
