Rebecca Pidgeon (born October 10, 1965) is an American actress, singer, songwriter, and recording artist. She was born to English parents in Cambridge, Massachusetts, while her father was a visiting professor at MIT. Pidgeon moved to Edinburgh, Scotland in 1970 and later graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. From 1986 to 1990, she was the lead singer of the British folk/pop band Ruby Blue. Pidgeon made her feature film debut in 1988's The Dawning and went on to star in David Mamet's plays and films, including Homicide and Oleanna. She has appeared on stage, in feature films, and has released several music albums as a singer-songwriter.
