Reed Birney

Reed Birney (born September 11, 1954) is an American actor known for his performances on stage and screen. He gained acclaim for his role in The Humans, winning the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play in 2016. Birney has appeared in various films, including Mass (2021) and The Menu (2022). He is also recognized for his recurring roles in TV shows such as Gossip Girl (2007–2009), House of Cards (2013–2017), The Blacklist (2014–2015), and Home Before Dark (2021–2022). Birney's other notable TV appearances include The Americans, The Handmaid's Tale, and Succession. He attended the Boston University College of Fine Arts and honed his craft through classes sponsored by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
