Reginald "Reggie" Yates is a British writer, director, actor, television presenter, and radio DJ. Born on May 31, 1983, he has had a successful career spanning three decades in the entertainment industry. Yates is known for his role as Leo Jones in Doctor Who and has worked at the BBC, hosting various shows for BBC Radio 1 and serving as the host of the singing show The Voice UK. He has also co-presented the game show Prized Apart and the reality show Release the Hounds. Additionally, Yates has presented documentary series such as Reggie Yates' Extreme Russia, Extreme South Africa, and Extreme UK. In 2021, Yates released his first feature film as a writer and director, Pirates. He is of Ghanaian descent, with both of his parents being born in Ghana.
