    Reginald R. Robinson is an American jazz and ragtime pianist. Born on October 19, 1972, in Chicago, he developed a love for ragtime in the 7th grade and began teaching himself music on a piano purchased by his mother. In 1988, Robinson started taking lessons at the American Conservatory of Music and honed his sight-reading and composition skills. Pianist Jon Weber played a crucial role in helping Robinson produce a demo of his compositions and arranging his first public performance. In 2004, Robinson was awarded the prestigious MacArthur Genius Grant. He has released several albums, including Man Out of Time (2007), Reflections (2010), and Euphonic Sounds.
