Rhoda Gemignani

Rhoda Gemignani (born October 21, 1940) is an American actress known for her recurring role as Mrs. Carmela Rossini in the sitcom Who's the Boss?. She has appeared in numerous comedic television shows from the 1970s to the 2000s, including The Bob Newhart Show and Just Shoot Me!. Gemignani has also made guest appearances in dramas such as Police Woman, Kojak, The Twilight Zone, Hill Street Blues, and Walker, Texas Ranger. Her film credits include Ghostbusters (1984), Three Fugitives (1989), and The Man Who Wasn't There (2001). She has also appeared in sitcoms like Diff'rent Strokes, The Jeffersons, Friends, Seinfeld, and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Gemignani originated the role of Irene, Jesse Katsopolis' mother on Full House before being replaced by Yvonne.
