Rhys Darby

Rhys Montague Darby is a New Zealand actor and comedian known for his energetic physical comedy routines. Born on March 21, 1974, Darby has made a name for himself through his unique storytelling style, often accompanied by mime and sound effects. He was nominated for the Billy T Award in 2001 and 2002 and won the 2012 Fred (Dagg) award at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival. Darby is most recognized for his role as Murray Hewitt, the band manager of Flight of the Conchords, both in the television series and the BBC radio series. He has also appeared in popular films and TV shows such as Yes Man, What We Do in the Shadows, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, A Series of Unfortunate Events, and Hunt for the Wilderpeople, among others.
