Ricardo Franco (24 May 1949 - 20 May 1998) was a Spanish screenwriter and film director. He was born and died in Madrid. Known for his work in the film industry, Franco directed and wrote several notable movies, including 'El desastre de Annual' (1970), 'Pascual Duarte' (1975), and 'La buena estrella' (1997). He also ventured into television, directing an episode of 'La mujer de tu vida' (1988) and the TV series 'Crónicas del mal' (1991). In addition to his film and TV work, Franco wrote lyrics for popular songs, such as 'Manuel Raquel' for Tam Tam Go! and 'Loco de amor' for Café Quijano.
