Rich Williams

Richard John Williams, born on February 1, 1950, is an American guitarist known for his involvement with the rock band Kansas. He is one of the consistent original members of the band, having appeared on every Kansas album to date. Williams initially shared guitar duties with Kerry Livgren until 1984 and later with Steve Morse from 1985 to 1991. From 1991 to 1999 and 2000 to 2016, Williams served as the band's dedicated guitarist. Since April 2021, he has once again been the band's sole guitarist. Williams, along with Phil Ehart, is one of the only two founding members of Kansas who have remained with the band throughout its history.
