Richard Dreyfuss Biography
Richard Stephen Dreyfuss (né Dreyfus) is an American actor born on October 29, 1947, in Brooklyn. He gained fame in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s for his roles in popular films such as American Graffiti (1973), Jaws (1975), and Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977). Dreyfuss won the Academy Award for Best Actor in 1977 for his performance in The Goodbye Girl, making him the youngest-ever actor, at the age of 30, to win the award. He also received nominations for his roles in Mr. Holland's Opus (1995) and The Education of Max Bickford. Dreyfuss has also been recognized with a Golden Globe and a BAFTA for his contributions to the entertainment industry.
