Richard Morant Biography
Richard Morant (30 October 1945 – 9 November 2011) was an English actor. He trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama and joined the Prospect Theatre Company, touring with Ian McKellen in various plays. Morant gained recognition for his portrayal of the bully Flashman in the BBC adaptation of Tom Brown's Schooldays (1971) and had a starring role in Thames Television's Verité (1972). He also played Dr. Dwight Enys in the popular BBC series Poldark (1975). Morant appeared in several BBC classic serials, including Woodstock (1973). He had a long and successful career in television and theatre.
