Richard Nixon

Richard Nixon (1913-1994) was the 37th President of the United States, serving from 1969 to 1974. Prior to his presidency, Nixon was a lawyer and member of the Republican Party. He also served as a representative and senator from California, as well as the 36th vice president from 1953 to 1961 under President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Nixon's presidency involved several notable events, such as reducing U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War, establishing diplomatic relations with China, and landing Apollo 11 on the moon. However, his second term was marred by the Watergate scandal, leading to his resignation and making him the only U.S. president to do so.
