Richard Paul Biography
Richard Paul (June 6, 1940 – December 25, 1998) was an American actor known for his roles in television and film. He gained prominence with his regular ensemble role in the 1970s sitcom Carter Country and went on to have recurring roles in popular series such as Murder, She Wrote and Full House. Paul also portrayed Jerry Falwell Sr. in two separate productions, after playing a similar character in an episode of WKRP in Cincinnati. Born in Los Angeles, California, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in public affairs from Claremont Men's College and a Master of Arts in psychology from California State University, Los Angeles. Despite being near completion of his PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Arizona, Paul chose to pursue a full-time career in acting.
