Richard Rankin Biography
Richard Rankin (born Richard Harris on 4 January 1983) is a Scottish film, television, and theatre actor. He gained prominence for his roles in the Scottish sketch show Burnistoun and as Roger Wakefield MacKenzie in the Starz drama Outlander. Rankin was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and spent part of his childhood in the East End of the city. He attended Stonelaw High School and initially pursued a career in the sciences and Information Technology. However, after a chance encounter in Los Angeles, he decided to pursue acting and attended Langside College with his brother Colin Harris. Since then, Rankin has established himself as a versatile actor across various mediums.
