Richard Side is a Canadian writer, producer, and actor known for creating The Debaters, a popular radio and TV comedy series on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. He has made appearances in episodes of popular TV shows such as Supernatural, Psych, and Eureka, as well as the feature film Elf. Side is a skilled comedian specializing in improvisational comedy and has won an improv comedy championship at the Just for Laughs festival while performing with Vancouver Theatresports. He also co-adapted Kenneth Oppel's novel Silverwing into a thirteen-part animated series for Teletoon. In addition to his work on The Debaters, Side has writing credits for episodes of Kung Fu: The Legend Continues.
