Richie Stephens, born as Richard Stephenson on December 5, 1966, is a Jamaican R&B, dancehall, and reggae singer and producer. He gained recognition in the early 1990s as a member of the Grammy Award-winning act Soul II Soul. Stephens recorded for Motown and the VP label before establishing his own label, Pot of Gold Records. He released popular dancehall singles like 'Winner,' 'Bus the Place,' and 'Slop Dem' in the late 1990s. His songs 'Legacy' (featuring Mad Cobra) and 'Come Give Me Your Love' (featuring General Degree) reached numbers 64 and 61 respectively on the UK Singles Chart. In 1998, his album 'Winner' was released by Greensleeves. Since then, Stephens has focused on producing music with Christian themes. He was honored with the Jamaican Governor-General's Achievement Award in 2006 for his civic contributions.
