Rick Dees Biography
Rick Dees, born Rigdon Osmond Dees III on March 14, 1950, is an American entertainer, radio personality, comedian, actor, and voice artist. He is best known for his internationally syndicated radio show, The Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 Countdown, and for his 1976 satirical novelty song 'Disco Duck.' Dees has received numerous accolades, including a People's Choice Award and a Grammy nomination. He performed the title song for the film Meatballs and co-founded the E. W. Scripps television network, Fine Living (now the Cooking Channel). Dees has hosted various radio shows, including Rick Dees in the Morning, and continues to host his own syndicated daily radio show, Daily Dees, as well as the Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 Countdown.
