Rick Lenz Biography
Rick Lenz (born November 21, 1939) is an American actor, author, and playwright. He is known for his performances in movies such as Cactus Flower (1969), The Shootist (1976), and Melvin and Howard (1980). Lenz began his career as a director at the Jackson, Michigan Civic Theater before moving to New York to pursue acting. His Broadway debut came in 1965 in the play Mating Dance. Lenz gained recognition when he was cast in the Broadway hit Cactus Flower as understudy for the role of Igor Sullivan, later taking over the role. This led to his appearance in the film adaptation alongside Goldie Hawn. Throughout the 1970s, Lenz appeared in several Hollywood films.
