Richard Lewis Springthorpe, better known as Rick Springfield, is an Australian-American musician and actor. He gained fame as a member of the pop rock group Zoot before embarking on a successful solo career. His debut single, 'Speak to the Sky,' became a top 10 hit in Australia in 1972. After moving to the United States, Springfield achieved international success with his No. 1 hit, 'Jessie's Girl,' in 1981. This Grammy Award-winning artist followed up with several more top 10 hits, including 'I've Done Everything for You,' 'Don't Talk to Strangers,' 'Affair of the Heart,' and 'Love Somebody.' Alongside his musical achievements, Springfield has pursued acting and has appeared in films such as 'Hard to Hold' (1984) and shows like 'High Tide' (1994-1997).
