Rip Taylor Biography
Rip Taylor, born Charles Elmer Taylor Jr. on January 13, 1931, was an American actor and comedian. Known for his exuberance and flamboyant personality, Taylor made a name for himself with his wild moustache, toupee, and his habit of showering himself (and others) with confetti. He was a television and nightclub mainstay for over six decades, making thousands of appearances. Taylor had a tough childhood, including being molested while in foster care and dealing with bullies in school. Before his entertainment career, he worked as a congressional page and served in the Korean War. Rip Taylor passed away on October 6, 2019.
