Rita Wolf Biography
Rita Wolf (born Rita Ghose) is an American British actress born in Kolkata, India. She began her professional acting career with the Joint Stock Theatre Company at The Royal Court Theatre in London, appearing in Hanif Kureishi's Borderline. Wolf has had a notable career in both US and British theatre, with credits including premieres of works by Tony Kushner and Richard Nelson. She received a Drama Desk Award nomination for her role in David Greig's 'The American Pilot' at Manhattan Theatre Club. Wolf has also appeared in British television and London theatre productions, including the first professional production of Tara Arts, a pioneering South Asian Theatre Company. She made her film debut in the 1984 movie 'Majdhar' by Retake Film and Video Collective.
