River Gallo

River Gallo is a Salvadoran-American filmmaker, actor, model, and intersex rights activist. They gained recognition for writing, directing, and acting in the groundbreaking 2019 short film Ponyboi, which featured an openly intersex actor portraying an intersex character. Born and raised in New Jersey, Gallo discovered their intersex identity at the age of twelve and has since become an advocate for ending unnecessary surgeries on intersex children. In addition to their activism, Gallo is an accomplished actor and filmmaker, and their work explores themes of gender, identity, and sexuality. Currently residing in Los Angeles, California, Gallo continues to make significant contributions to the film industry and intersex rights movement.
