Robert Clothier

Robert Allan Clothier (October 21, 1921 – February 10, 1999) was a Canadian stage and television actor. He is best known for his role as Relic on the CBC television series, The Beachcombers. Clothier joined the Royal Canadian Air Force at a young age and flew two tours operationally with 408 Squadron RCAF. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his courage, determination, and exemplary piloting skills. After his military service, Clothier pursued a career in acting and made a significant impact in Canadian television. His portrayal of Relic in The Beachcombers became his most iconic role, winning him widespread recognition and popularity.
