Robert Duvall is an American actor and filmmaker, born on January 5, 1931. He has had a successful career spanning eight decades and is considered one of the greatest actors of all time. Duvall has received numerous awards, including an Academy Award, four Golden Globe Awards, a BAFTA Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. He began his career on TV with minor roles before transitioning to Broadway and film. Duvall made his feature film debut in To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) and has since appeared in notable films such as Captain Newman, M.D. (1963), Bullitt (1968), True Grit (1969), M*A*S*H (1970), and THX 1138 (1971).
