Robert Glasper is an American pianist, record producer, songwriter, and musical arranger known for his artistry in jazz and various other genres. Born on April 6, 1978, Glasper has achieved significant success throughout his career. He has won five Grammy Awards and received eleven nominations in eight different categories, showcasing his versatility and talent. Glasper's breakout album, Black Radio (2012), reached number 15 on the Billboard 200 chart and earned him a Grammy for Best R&B Album. He has collaborated with acclaimed artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Herbie Hancock, and Talib Kweli. In addition to his own work, Glasper has co-written and produced for various musicians, including Mac Miller, Anderson .Paak, and Brittany Howard. His contributions extend beyond music, as he won the 2017 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.
