Robert Gossett

Robert Gossett (born March 3, 1954) is an American actor. He is best known for his role of Commander Russell Taylor on the TNT crime drama, The Closer, and its successor series Major Crimes. Gossett made his professional debut in a production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest after graduating from high school. He went on to act in several Broadway productions, including Fences, A Raisin in the Sun, and The Last Minstrel Show. With extensive television experience, Gossett has appeared in guest roles on Crossing Jordan, NYPD Blue, and Black Angel. In film, he has appeared in Arlington Road and The Net. Gossett is the first cousin of actor Louis Gossett Jr.
