Robert Goulet Biography
Robert Gérard Goulet (November 26, 1933 – October 30, 2007) was an American and Canadian singer and actor of French-Canadian ancestry. Born and raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Goulet spent his early years in Canada. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Sir Lancelot in the 1960 Broadway musical Camelot, alongside Richard Burton and Julie Andrews. Goulet's interpretation of the song 'If Ever I Would Leave You' became his signature piece. With a career spanning nearly six decades, Goulet was a Grammy Award winner and starred in numerous stage productions, films, and television shows. Notably, he won a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for The Happy Time in 1968.
