Robert Pine (born Granville Whitelaw Pine on July 10, 1941) is an American actor best known for his role as Sgt. Joseph Getraer on the television series CHiPs (1977–1983). With over 400 episodes of television under his belt, Pine has had a prolific career. Born in New York City, Pine graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1963. He arrived in Hollywood in 1964 and became a contract player with Universal Studios, often appearing in westerns. Pine has also appeared on the soap opera Days of Our Lives and made guest appearances on popular shows such as Gunsmoke and Lost in Space. He is married to actress Gwynne Gilford and they have two children, actors Chris and Katie.
