Robert Bernard Reich is an American professor, author, lawyer, and political commentator. Born on June 24, 1946, Reich has had a distinguished career in public service and academia. He worked in the administrations of Presidents Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter, and served as Secretary of Labor from 1993 to 1997 under President Bill Clinton. Reich has been a prominent voice in economic and social policy, and has served on various advisory boards, including President Barack Obama's economic transition advisory board. He is currently the Chancellor's Professor of Public Policy at the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley, where he has been teaching since 2006. Reich has authored 18 books, which have been translated into 22 languages, and is recognized as one of the most influential business thinkers.
