Robert George Wahlberg (born December 18, 1967) is an American actor known for his roles in films such as Southie, Mystic River, and The Departed. Born and raised in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Wahlberg comes from a large family of talented siblings, including Mark and Donnie Wahlberg. He has also appeared in other notable films like Orphan, Scenes of the Crime, and Moonlight Mile. Wahlberg's father was a U.S. Army veteran, and his mother worked as a bank clerk and nurse's aid. He has two children from his marriage to Gina Santangelo. With a diverse ancestry of Swedish, Irish, French-Canadian, and English roots, Wahlberg continues to make his mark on the entertainment industry.
