Robin Archer Biography
Robin Archer (19 September 1930 – 9 March 2018) was a New Zealand rugby union player and coach. Born in Gore, Archer represented Otago and Southland at the provincial level and was a member of the New Zealand national team, the All Blacks. He attended Gore High School, where he played for the 1st XV from 1946 to 1948. After high school, Archer played club rugby for the Pioneer Rugby Football Club in Gore, following in his father's footsteps. He later studied at the University of Otago, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in 1955. Archer had a successful career in rugby as both a player and a coach.
