Robin Givens (born November 27, 1964) is an American actress known for her role as Darlene Merriman on the ABC sitcom Head of the Class. She gained media attention for her tumultuous marriage and divorce from boxer Mike Tyson in the late 1980s. Givens has been an advocate for domestic violence awareness and served as a spokesperson for the National Domestic Violence Hotline. Throughout her career, she has appeared in various film and television roles, including The Women of Brewster Place (1989), Boomerang (1992), and the sitcom Sparks (1996-1998).
