Rod Colbin Biography
Rod Colbin (born Irving Herbert Lichtenstein: December 23, 1923 – February 4, 2007) was an American character actor known for his roles in film and television. He had a career that spanned four decades, during which he appeared in various productions. In addition to his acting work, Colbin was a fencing instructor and even served as Katharine Hepburn's personal masseur at one point. He was born in New Haven, CT to Jewish parents, Samuel and Bess Lichtenstein. Colbin was married to Annemarie Polonyi from 1965 to 1978 and they had three daughters. He passed away in February 2007 in Denver, Colorado at the age of 83. Colbin is survived by his two daughters, two grandchildren, and two sisters.
