Rod McCary is an American actor known for his work in commercial, film, and television. He was born on April 15, 1941, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. McCary attended Cathedral High School and the University of Denver. He started his career in 1970, appearing in the film 'The Christine Jorgensen Story' as 'Jess Warner.' Throughout his career, McCary made guest appearances in popular television shows like 'Three's Company,' 'It's a Living,' 'Highway to Heaven,' 'Columbo,' and 'Murder, She Wrote.' He also starred in films such as 'Herbie Rides Again,' 'Night of the Demons 2,' and 'Stewardess School.' In addition, McCary had a role in the soap opera 'General Hospital' before leaving in 1975. He also appeared in the TV show 'Harper Valley P.T.A.' as 'Bobby Taylor.'
