Roger Allam Biography
Roger William Allam (born 26 October 1953) is a British actor known for his performances on stage, in film, on television, and radio. He played Inspector Javert in the original London production of Les Misérables and has been nominated six times for a Laurence Olivier Award, winning three times. Some of his notable roles include First Officer Douglas Richardson in the radio series Cabin Pressure, DCI Fred Thursday in the TV series Endeavour, and Illyrio Mopatis in the HBO series Game of Thrones. Allam has also appeared in films such as Speed Racer and V for Vendetta. He was born in Bow, London and was educated at Christ's Hospital and Manchester University.
