Roger Stone (born August 27, 1952) is an American conservative political consultant, lobbyist, and convicted felon. He gained notoriety for his involvement with and connections to Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election as a political consultant for Donald Trump's campaign. Stone has worked on the campaigns of several Republican politicians since the 1970s, including Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George W. Bush. He co-founded the lobbying firm Black, Manafort, Stone and Kelly (BMSK) in 1980, which became successful by leveraging its White House connections. Stone has been involved in various political activities throughout his career.
