Roger Waters

George Roger Waters (born 6 September 1943) is an English musician and singer-songwriter. He is best known as the co-founder and bassist of the rock band Pink Floyd. Waters joined the band in 1965 and took on the role of the lyricist, co-lead vocalist, and conceptual leader after the departure of Syd Barrett in 1968. With Pink Floyd, Waters contributed to the success of several critically acclaimed and commercially successful concept albums, including The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall, and The Final Cut. In 1985, Waters left Pink Floyd and pursued a solo career, releasing several studio albums. Waters's contributions to the music industry have solidified his status as one of the most influential figures in popular music.
